Buddhika Jayatillake (Jay) – Director & Principal Consultant

MBA, BSc (QS Hons), FRICS, FCIOB, FAIQS, CQS

Buddhika Jayatillake (Jay) is the Founder and Managing Director of QCost Consultants. With over 30 years of experience across Australia and internationally, Jay is a highly respected Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Chartered Construction Manager. His expertise spans quantity surveying, construction cost management, contract management, and project controls.

He holds:

• A Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Durham, UK
• A Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Quantity Surveying
• Fellowship of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS)
• Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Building (FCIOB)
• Fellowship of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (FAIQS)
• Certified Quantity Surveyor (CQS) accreditation from the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors

Jay also has formal training in international arbitration and is a qualified RICS Professional Competence Assessor. His leadership ensures that QCost Consultants delivers precise, ethical, and client-focused consultancy services across the residential, commercial, retail, and infrastructure sectors.
